My Messages application no longer works, when i go to open messages i get a kern-exec reason number 3 error and it doesnt open. Does anyone know how to solve this or where i can get the messages application from so i can reinstall it! Also is there a way i can read my sms messages from the file manager (eg where are the text messages kept in the directory???) I have some new messages and realise that i may have to do a full backup from my last update so i will lose the new mesesages...thanks in advance!

i was told that when kern appears it means you have run out of memory or have to many applications open, try closing some apps this may help

you install facewave recently? uninstall it - it buggers up the messages app. (in my experience)
Pain up the arse!
edit: C:\system\mail is the messages directory... if you copy n paste it to ur documents and save it to your pc, it should take the messages with it... to restore, put the mail directory back in after a re-format

should work!

did it work right after master reset, before you restored all your data?

Restore just replaces all the files that were in your c drive when you did the back up. This means that all the corrupted stuff goes right back in there again. I think youre gonna have to deal with losing those new messages bud.
