It just stopped all of a sudden, I dont recall making any changes, and I have looked through to see if there anywhere that I may have turned it off.
Any ideas apart from going to an SE Service centre??

There is a setting somewhere in Control Panel, other than that it's off to a Service Centre.
P.S. it's actually a front light not back on the P8 I think

Something similar happened to my iPAQ (well, there was the small matter of a 2m drop onto concrete) and now it's busted. Can't be assed to sort it cos my P9 is all I need! (sorry...I know the smugness isn't helping your problem!
