The POZ X301 is a CDMA2000 1x-EVDO/1x RTT Pocket PC Phone, which features a sliding design that is similar to the one used in the palmOne Zire71. The sliding cover hides a small numeric thumb keyboard for quick number input and helps save some space in your pocket. However, the smartphone is more than one inch thick – it measures 63.5 x 116 x 25 mm.

The device runs Windows Mobile 2003 on a 400 MHz Intel XScale PXA255 processor and has 64 MB RAM, 160 MB ROM (128 MB user available Flash storage), and one miniSD expansion slot. The display is a 3.0-inch color QVGA (320x240) TFT panel. The POZ X301 also features integrated Wi-Fi wireless networking and a built-in 0.3 megapixel digital camera.

Later this year the POZ X301 will be available on the Korean market under the Cyberbank brand. At the moment the company is not planning to ship it in Europe or the U.S

The POZ X301 from Korean manufacturer Cyberbank is just too good not to export overseas. The CDMA2000 1X-EVDO/1X RTT Pocket PC Phone has all the features and memory one could ask for. Starting with 64MB RAM, you can add another 128MB via the miniSD expansion slot and capture photos with the CMOS VGA camera, or do anything else a 400MHz XScale Pocket PC can do.

The smartphone measures 63.5 x 116 x 25 mm and hides the slide-out keypad very well when closed. The integrated Wi-Fi and Windows Media Player can turn this into a mini entertainment device, watch movies, play games or work at those excel and word files on the 3.0-inch QVGA (320 x 240) TFT LCD.

Becoming available in Q4 2004 to Korea, the POZ X301 has no definite plans in actually coming to North America, but if the demand is here it may very well be possible.
