When you are dialing a number by selecting it from your contacts, is there anyway of hiding your phone number. I know that you can hide it when you PRESS or KEY in the number you want to dial by using the number pad. Also I know that the #31# code works if you put this in front of the number you want to dial. But this is different from dialing the number by selecting it in the contacts. Any suggestions?

I'm not aware the option exists as a software utility. Short of pre-entering all of your contacts (or the contacts u'd prefer to phone anonomously?) with the prefix 141 to their number, and then drop the first 0 I'm not sure of any other alternative. I think that would work tho.....

hiding your number is network dependent.

yes it is, but controlling the function is possible through the mobile phone. It seems that there is no way of doing what you want...

Hinding my number works for me. When I go to my contact on my T610 and look their numbers, and if I press "more" button, I get an option to hide my number. This same thing works by having #31# in front of the number, as our friend suggested. Even if you go to recent calls, and if you hit more key, you get an option to hide your number. I'm not sure if this is network dependent. I"m on T-mobile.

Can say this works on my T610 also. The T630 I had on t-mobile had this feature but the sim free non network operator branded T630 which I now have doesnt have this as an option unless the number is in your redial list.
