it's to do with service provider settings. i have the same problem. whenever i send MMS to anybody they'll have to go to the (dutch) Vopdafone site to view it (especially nice for those who don't speak dutch at all)

For some reason delivery directly to phone is still a bridge to far, especially for cross-network messages. It's the biggest put off ever for me and the main reason I seldom use MMS at all

Ye Make sure that the MMS settings are set up on your phone AND your Sim Card. Both is important.

Your Network Provider will have the settings.

Also Cross Network sending MMS can Cause problems too.

You need to contact your Network, Then they will sms you the settings or will "Walk n Talk" Them with you over the phone and you manually enter the settings. When your phone is setuo make sure your sim is setup aswell. Again the Network will do that for you.

Just thought I'd also add/clarify from what I can understand you can't just do it with settings alone. Your operator needs to have turned on your MMS flag so that you get the MMS and not the generic message (because they think your phone can't handle MMS). Obviously if you get them to send you the settings they'll likely do this the same time, but just saying incase anyone tries to feed them in manually and it still doesn't work

that's a bit too optimistic I'm afraid. My operator knows very well I can receive (and send) MMS however there is no link between networks for this sort of thing, hence when somebndy sends you MMS from another network chances are it's going to get redirected to a web page.

We can send cross net mms in the UK. But not abroad yet or to the '3' 3g network.

I have not yet been able to send succesfully to anybody not on Vodafone. Let's not even gte into international MMS (what I would use it for about 95% if i would use it at all)

sometimes I suspect it's just cheaper for them to store everything on their own webspace instead of sending it onwards around the world, all the while charging me € 0.41 for it
