ok
some days ago i took my pincard out the p800 and worked with another cellphone
yesterday i installed the pincard back into the p800 when i started
he asks me to give my pincode
but i cannot give my pincode the screen touching doesn't work
and the flip is not working to
the jog dial is still working
i looked at the screen but i don't see scratches
could this be a software problem because i didn't do annything with it in those 5 days of inactivity.
would a master reset help ???

welcome to Esato. pitty your first post is a problem with your p800. i hope i or someone else can help. i found a similar problem with my p800 when i took out the memory stick duo when the p800 was reading/writing information to it. i dont think removing the sim would cause this problem but if the data on the memory stick duo gets corrupted the p800 locks up on startup. try to start up your p800 with the memory stick removed and see if it works. if it does then the data on the memory stick duo is corrupted and as far as i know the only way to fix it is to format the memory stick duo. try and power it up with the memory stick duo out. it worked for me ages ago. good luck.

took out the sim
restarted the but same problem
what does it do
1)power on get some flash screen
2)menu
-1 phone on
-2 flight mode
-3 power out
tried to press 1 or ok ==>did not work
tried to touch te screen with pen ==>did not work
pushed the jog dial ==>worked
then the new menu shows
pin locked on top
give pin
cannot give in the pin not with the flip
and cannot give in the pin with touchscreen
whats the best possibility that my screen is broken (looks more then fine)
or that some bug or crash caused it??
thx alot

1) have you tried it with the memory stick duo out?
2) your screen may need to be calibrated, so with the flip open try using the stylus to tap the on screen buttons.

have you got the virtual flip switched on. i noticed that when i power up my mobile that the bottom half of the screen where you hit the buttons does not work for about 2 sec and the backround is white behind the keys then the backround turns blue and you can tap the numbers. it could be a screen problem, do you have a screen protector installed because sometimes they cause problems. sorry i am not much help but i seem to be running out of answers. hope someone else might read this and be able to help.
