I just spoke to my SE centre in Nottingham and they say they flash P900s with R3C006. Is this the latest ?

depends if you have a branded version or not. I believe thats the latest for orange but take a look at the "Answers to the most common questions on Esato Forums (FAQ style)" where we try and keep up to date with latest firmware versions
