no, you can't enter that on the T610. if you sync with outlook you can make it work but the sync process simply creates unreleated calendar entries for each occurrence

Thank you masseur for your answer. Do you think it is possible to solve this in future firmware of this phone.

Question is: do you have any information which say, that this phone couldnt have this feature in future... i dont know, some known memory management problem, or sw related problem,... whatever...

thx

SE calendars not very good, Nokia and Siemens have better.

The "recurrence rule" on T39/R520 are pseudo-recurrent, they're just brute-force solutions i.e. they just make multiple entries automatically... not very elegant...

If you want real PIM apps get a Palm

@Aikonoklast: What do you mean when you say that the "recurrence rule" is pseudo-recurrent? I thought that the whole idea of the recurrent calendar entry functionality was to make multiple calendar entries automatically. It's maybe not very elegant, but it's at least really practical. What's better with the calendar in other brands of phones?

True recurrence means that you create just ONE entry but it appears on multiple days, unlike with Ericssons where it just creates a finite number of discrete entries to simulate recurrence. This also means that they don't extend into infinitely into the future.

If you send a recurrent entry from a Palm the Ericsson won't understand it and will just create one entry which is not recurrent at all.

If you send a pseudo-recurrent entry from an Ericsson to a Palm the latter will accept it as one entry, since that's just what it is... they're discrete entries remember...

With Nokia/Siemens you can create true recurrent entries.

@Aikonoklast: Thanks for your clearification of the "recurrence" matter.

When I created a recurrent appointment in my old /// T39m it automatically created a finite number (12?) of "equal" appointments. When deleting or editing one of them it asked if it should delete or edit all occurrences of the appointment or just the current appointment. That indicated that the different appointments were at least not entirely discrete entries.

But, however, "true recurrence" would certainly be very useful.
