well, whenever i am using the keypad on my p800 when i press a key naturally my hand pushes in, but the battery compartment thingy is not good and it goes in and out. This is really annoying! i paid over 300 pounds for a phone you think they could make sure their battery cover was firm, secure and didnt make stupid noises! the battery is in place but its the blasted cover. do you think i shud by a new one or is it the same for all of you guys?
cheers

The plastic on the battery cover of your phone stretches out under pressure. Once it has been stretched, it will always seem loose and make a squeaky noise when you press on it. This also occurs with the newer reinforced battery covers.
A new battery cover will resolve your issue until it is stretched.

if i could change one thing about the phone, it would be that. i like the design overall, but the creaking battery cover is annoying, and it does make the p8 feel a bit cheap. shame.

yup, i agree it is very annoying... i found it out when using my friend's p800. am also very surprised with the quality of the p800 casing.
i think you could overcome that problem by putting an extra memory card or maybe a stack of name card on top of the battery to eliminate the extra space between the battery and the batt. cover.
good luck...

Indeed the p800 casing is not very good. I wonder if the P900 casing is better..

Just get a piece of sticky backed foam and stick it on the inside of the battery cover, problem solved.
