Searched and couldn't find a current thread. I'm finally going to suck it up and just purchase either an MSN or AIM for my p900... what's the best deal out there? Not the cheapest,... I mean which app is actually pretty good and reliable and easiest to use without too many extraneous features?

Let me know please... names and version numbers so I can search for it on Handango

AgileMessenger is to be found for free at www.agilemobile.com, but I don't like it particularly. It's able to connect to a lot of different networks, but the UI pretty much sucks in my opinion.

For starters, what I dislike the most is that I cannot reveal a contact's e-mail address in MSN mode (might be applicable to other modes, haven't tried 'em), which is, if you have a lot of contacts that change names frequently, terribly annoying. I always have to ask who I am talking to whenever I don't recognise a nickname. AFAIK, it isn't capable of file transfers either, but that isn't such a bad deal after all.

Incidentally, if any of you readers know a better MSN Messenger application for the Symbian UIQ, don't hesitate to enlight me.

Jmsn pro is definitely the best msn program on the pX00.

It lets you view the email adresses of your contacts and allows you to transfer files. And it als looks very much the same as msn on you pc. Give it a try!

It even supports vibration and when a person comes online a popup message will appear.

cheers

Today Agile Messenger came out with version 2.11. Now you can send pictures to others in the chat. Take a new one and then just push send button or choose another saved one to send. Works with 6 different clients. Very good and free!

I'm using Agile Messenger as well. It's free and it perfectly suits my needs. I use it during my classes when i got bored or something. I know the new version supports file sending, if you want this feature.

But I can't really compare it to any other app, cos this one is the only one I've used, since I've been satisfied with it from the beginning.

OK agile is free, but once it is in your phone, it is like a guest who has overstayed it's welcome. Hard to get rid of.
