Car prototypes are often nice, but probably not fully functional. A great example of early products with flaws is the Apple Powerbook series. The very first revisions had a defective hatch mecanism, play in the lid and a few other defects.
Not good.
Another great example is the Palm Tungsten T, which never got any better with time. How sad.
