I was on my way out when I decided to load my P900 with some songs. I had no room for a lot of MP3s so I copied a bunch of MIDIs to the memory card instead. Better than nothing, right?

But I cannot play them in the built-in music player. I don't know why though, cause I can play MIDIs one by one; they just don't show up in the music player. I tried copying the MIDI files to the internal memory instead and tried putting them in different folders, but no luck.

Is there a solution or is this a great flaw from Sony Ericsson?

You should go to the audioplayer menu and than to edit, prefrences and there you can check what kind of files will be displayed (this setting is available on a p800,l don't know if a p900 has this option)

maybe you didn't check MIDI files?? try it.

cheers

go to music player --> manage tracks, then choose MIDI folder, now you can play all your midi files or other music files which are diffrent from mp3 files

Built-in "music" player. Oh well, in my P800 is AUDIO PLAYER and you CAN play all ur midis as a playlist (u cant order them as u want but u CAN). Just load it, then choose the "musical" icon and push play (always choose ur MIDI folder or ALL in folder). Now listen them in background as u work in ur P800.

Guys, I can't seem manage to tracks. Whatever I do in the Manage Tracks view, it doesn't make any difference in the actual playlist. Nothing, nada! The default ringtones and two MP3 that I've added myself are always in the playlist, despite the fact that they're unchecked in the Manage Playlist view.

What the heck is wrong? This must be a bug.

Yes, I've tried for hours now and I can't seem to manage tracks. The MIDI folder (and the default EMS folder) can't be selected.

wow looks like we have einstein himself here i was commenting on the fact that even if that wasn't a possibility with p900 it isn't a big flaw from se considering that almost no one listens to midi's! i mean sheesh who in the world is going to listen to 16 tone poly tones!! oh yes you are and that's why this phone sucks eh?
i mean cmon! i'm not even going to argue, my advice buy a freakin duo and listen to REAL music!
