I downloaded the pc suite and I can't seem to be able to transfer files from or to my p900. I have the icon on my pc with the little p900 phone but when I click on it a screen comes up the a small icon with a question mark inside an white paper like sheet. I checked the phone connection link and it says the Usb is connected. Why cant I transfer files?

Use windows explorer... When connected to your pc your P900 should be at the bottom of the list of Drives and Folders on the left hand side of the screen. Double click it and you should have access to the device memory and your mem stick.

I had the same problem. Install the pc suite first (newest from SE), then load the USB driver. OR reverse sequence. After a couple of installs and removals I was finally able to connect my P900 to my 98SE computer. If you have Win98SE download and install the latest dcom98 from microsoft first.

There's probably a bug with PC Suite and the latest Windows XP upgrades form Microsoft. So far SonyEricsson seems not to care about it !!!!!! I'm sure of this because I'm using my P900 with my desktop PC (via syncstation) and my notebook (via Bluetooth) and after updating Windows XP on-line on the first one I couldn't browse my P900's files any more... after updating the second one I got the very same result... so IT'S A BUG !!!
Hope SonyEricsson is willing to solve this problem or when everyone will install the upcoming SP2 I fear nobody will be able to browse it's P900 files any more !

my PC os running Win XP with latest updates and my p900 is working fine in its synch station not problems also no problems with blue tooth my LAptop which runs XP Pro is also fully upto date with all patches installed for Win XP pro any my p900 functions on that perfectly. Hope that helps just fiddle around with it try different USB ports and eventually it will begin working

By reading the amount of people who are having problems with the SE PC Shite software it amazes me that SE are ignoring thr situation.
Ive never had as many problems wih other RS232/USB connections as Ive had with this.
SE, how about getting a proper company to write your software?

I'm running windows xp with latest patch and using the P900 pc suite supply with the phone and up to now i'm having no problems. Sometimes it doesnt connect or won't install applications even it says the usb is connected but I just restart the phone and PC and it's back to normal... So I guess its not the phone software who has the problems but its either your pc or the applications you recently install in your phone before having this kind of problems...Better t think and solve the problems by yourself and not blaming anyone..

For your information I already did a master reset of my P900... and did a format of D memory too... so IT IS NOT A PROBLEM OF SOFTWARE INSTALLED ON THE UNIT !!!
I also re-installed USB drivers and PC Suite (either italian than english version)... all in vain ! I'm not willing to format my PC and my notebook to solve a problem which is A SONYERICSSON'S PROBLEM !!! I'm sure 100% of this !
Start reading on this forum... and on other forums too... there's plenty of people having the same problem I have ! Pure coincidence ? I don't think so ! Don't know why this happened... I didn't write the code of PC Suite... but it's a matter of fact that it happened and if you are lucky no to have this problem this doesn't mean that PC Suite is ok... only that you are lucky !
