I need HELP for some reason i am unable to conect to pop3 server on my P800 witch is on (UK Vodafone) does any one know what might be the problem, I know the settings are correct my brother has the same phone we put the same info in to both phones his will get the emails will mine just wont conect all, the latest firm ware is on the phone.The only differenc between his phone and mine he is on UK Orange and i'm UK Vodafone Please help many thanks
If there is any body out there on vodafone with a blueyonder email account and a p800 i would like to hear from you

I'm on vodafone and can help. what data account are you connecting with and what error message are you receiving?
if the adress in the data account you are connecting with is wap.vodafone.co.uk then this will not work, you need to be using a data account with the address of "internet" (no quotes)

Account name: (what ever you want)
Your name:(your name)
Email Address: (full email eg.
example@btinternet.com)
Connection type: POP3
Internet account: (eg. vodafone web)
__________
User name: (username)
password: (email password)
Incoming server address: (eg. mail.btinternet.com)
___________
Outgoing server address: send.vodafone.net
Use SMTP authentication: leave unchecked

no worries, I think its more likely to be the data account rather than the email account settings as he said he has the email account set up the same as his brother

many thanks for all your help i am know going to throw my phone from a grate hight no matter what i seem to do just cant connect it I think it might br a GPRS problem

Thanks to everyone for your help I have been on to vodafane tech people I had done things right dut they said I have a fault with the phone and they are going to replace the phone
