hope someone can help me. My P800 has crashed, not for the first time, but this time it seems to have completely crashed. By this I mean that I have lost everything on it and it is impossible to restore it through the 'backup & restore' software that comes with the phone. When the P800 is put on the docking station the wee connection icon comes up active however it doesn't seem to recognise it. As a result, the back up files that I have saved are invalid as it no longer recognises 'My P800'. I'm sure there is a simple solution and would really appreciate some advice.
I have looked up trouble shooting but it seems only to refer to when your phone crashes but your computer still recognises your phone.

Depending on your operating system or firewall setup it could actually be less terminal than you think.
I run Norton and often (but not always - strange) have to disconnect the firewall aspects.
I have also read threads suggesting that the problem can come from a routine called (I believe Mrouter.exe (check this)).
Overall if the synch sign is moving you are not far away from success.
