Why sonyericsson infrared is not compatible with nokia phones? Are there any nokia which can be connect to a SE with IR.. Not by bluetooth

I do believe nokia have restricted the infra red on phones so you have to transfer by cable or download stuff from wap.

Only series 60 nokias support object exchange, ngage, 7650, 3650 etc. So It's actually nokia That's not compatible. Phones like 7250 etc only support sending contacts and stuff.

yeah the 6230 i am sure does do infrared exchange but then again it is an ok model

My P900 connects fine (ir) with Nokia 7250 (PIM-transfer).

My T610 connects fine with the 6600. i also tried with a lot of other Nokia's but it didnt work...
Thats why im a proud owner of the T610!!
