I installed E-Doom on my P900 the other day, and now I want to get rid of it. But I can't. The phone claims "acess denied" even though the program isn't running and I have restarted the phone.

What should I do?

Try a couple of times more. Sometimes it will suddenly on a miraculous way work.

And if it still isn't working you can always remove doom manually with any file manager and completely remove the doom map.

After that use the application called filesearch and type in doom and then delete these files the program finds. But be careful with what you delete on your c drive because it's the system drive!

good luck!

Thanks! I will believe in a miracle, and only delete it manually as a last resort.

But what could happen, really, coming to think of it? I just made a backup. =)

Well not much will happen if you delete doom manually only that doom will no longer be on your device.

If you've installed doom on the d drive (which l assume) it is safe to delete the doom folder. Than allmost all files of doom are gone. Only a few small unimportant ones will stay on your phone (but even if you would have uninstalled doom in the normal way these files will stay on your phone)

It is also safe to delete the files that remain on your phone after deinstalling apps.(many people are affraid to do it but it really doesn't harm your phone IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING! so only delete files of wich you're really sure they belong to apps you've uninstalled!).

So l'd say: give it a try to uninstall doon the normal way and otherwise just delete it.

cheers

I tried without success at first, but then I found a file named something like E-Doom.sis in the \system\install folder. Once removed, the application does no longer appear in the Uninstall list. Thanks

yes but now you've only deleted the file that makes it appear in the uninstall list. And the real files are still there.

you should go to either the c or d drive (where you've installed e-doom) and than to system than to apps and in this map there should be a map called e-doom. delete this one and almost all files of e-doom are gone.

good luck!

Sorry, I forgot to mention that I had done that prior to removing the E-doom file from \system\install\.
