Hmmm..this is an odd one. I was looking through filemanager (Qfileman) in c:\system\APPS and to my surprise, I saw folders for AppForge, smsmanager, datemate and various other programs that I uninstalled ages ago..
Surely these should have been remover too? and is it taking up precious memory?
Anyone?

I think some files are left in the registry in case you install them again. Like a trial programme which has 7 days to trial. Ive had that on my 6600.

dunno. Last time I erased files using a file explorer I deleted the main registry for the mms menu. I could access it after that and to replace my phone

I can't imagine these files being large in size so I'd be safe and leave them

Yes it is safe to delete these files and the file are very small in size
It is safe to delete the files that remain on your phone after deinstalling apps.(many people are affraid to do it but it really doesn't harm your phone IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING! so only delete files of wich you're really sure they belong to apps you've uninstalled!).
cheers

For Palm, there was quite a good application called LeftOvers which searched for unused files and deleted them. I know the Symbian OS 7 has this in-built, but it only appears when the phone's low on memory. I'd sure like to use it right now!

best thing to do if your that low on space is re-format your phone and just install the programs you need. same for ms duo.
ps, non system folders are usually named in lower case... if its uppercase, best leave it alone.
