hi all,

i have the samsung e700, tomorrow it is getting collected to be replaced as the camera is bust, i cannot get my irda to work to download pictures and stuff,

i presume that this has been asked before, so sorry if it is annoying, but i have xp on my computer and have installed PIMS & File Manager, and when it goes to read the phone it says, "Cannot read messages", can anyone give any advice on how to sort this problem out???

Have you downloaded the latest pims and filemanager drivers and have you set the connection type to IRDA in the options???

i have installed the latest version on the file manger, but when i go to setup to choose irda, it only lets me choose COM1, COM3 or COM4

1. Try reinstalling the drivers for your IR adapter and the PIMS software

If it still doesn't work:

2. Install IrCOMM2k which creates a virtual COM port mapped to your IR adapter.

normally the IR is just recognized as a IR adapter, with the software above you get an extra COM port which really is your IR adapter. After the installation of the software, you would be able to select the new COM port created in PIMS.

an alternative is to send em via mms to ur email Then host them and download em via wap.
