Hi everyone!
I have started to use flightmode a lot more recently. Specially on flights, in hospitals etc where GSM not is allowed.
But when I start my phone and select flightmode as startup mode, I still recieves SMS messages.
I thought that the phone-module not was activated in flightmode...
As it feels now the phone must be completely shutdown in mobile-free zones.
Can anyone explain?

Seems like a fault in your phone. The flight mode should work exactly as you imagined (=no any phone activity).

I would agree with the above poster when he suggests the possibility of a fault in your phone, however, there could be another explanation.
When you say that you are still able to receive text messages, what exactly do you mean? If you mean that you are receiving new messages whilst in Flight Mode then I would hold to the idea that your phone is faulty. If, however, the 'text message' icon appears then it might be the case that you simply have an unread text message.
You did state that you were receiving texts though, so I would be more inclined to go with the first theory. You could claim under the warranty or insurance, if you have any.
Out of interest, are you bale to send texts whilst in Flight Mode or make phone calls, or use any of the phone’s radio or Bluetooth functions at all?

More details...
I have activated the option so the phone ask me what mode to use when starting up.
And The thing I noticed several times (but not always) is that even if I choose flightmode some brand new sms arrives.
I just did a test and in flightmode I cant send any sms and neither recieve. And the network status is "Flight mode" all the time.
(I upgraded to latest firmware this morning... maybe its working now...)
I had the feeling that when choosing flightmode at startup the phone does a quick check for new sms and delivers them to me.
As I said it does not happend every time.
I will dig deeper into this.

Doesn't the phone message you every twenty minutes or so when you've missed an SMS or Phone Call.
The message would already be in your message folder before activating flight mode.
