Click on the applications icon in the top right, then click Edit->Sytem Information.
Then click the right arrow and you will be presented with the firmware variants and levels for the phone/bluetooth/organiser/CDA.

i have R2D on my p800 and its good enough for me. you might have to pay if you want the latest firmware installed in your mobile by SE if its out of its 1 year waranty. i dont know what the latest version of firmware is. mabey someone on this site knows.
