Has anybody ever tried to (or know of someone who has) used a 3mobile simcard in a P900 or other SE phone? I am very keen to purchase a P900 but want to keep my 3mobile contract, hopefully using the sim in a P900!!

Anybody know if this is possible?

Thanks

The NEC e616 isn't all that bad, I am currently using one and I have found it to be a fairly decent phone, if a little greedy with the battery power. 3 have come in for a lot of criticism, but to be fair to them they are trying. I usually have a decent signal and I can access 3's 3G network most of the time. The real problem with 3G phones at the moment is battery power, although their large size is a close second.

Youre right the e616 isnt a bad phone at all, there has been a very large amunt of users who have experienced problems with phone resetting during 2g to 3g network switch plus a few other probs - but this is mainly due to bugs in early firmware versions. I am satisfied with mine but there is so much more you can do with a P900 in terms of applications and extra features that you cannot do with the e616.

I heard a rumour that 3 "do" you for breach of contract if you use a 2g sim in one of their phones, is this true?

I'm not sure, but I was of the impression that a 2G SIM card wouldn't work in a 3G handset.

Maybe you should consider the Motorola A925.
It runs UIQ like the P900 and has all the features as well.

Main difference is that it doesn't have a keypad.
