one word 'sman' - make sure you are closing down all programmes when not in use, particualrly the communicorder as it drains the battery so much.
www.my-symbian.com has 'sman' read the instructions and set up flip flush mode so when you finish and close the flip all programmes are closed.
In future though remember you could have obtained this solution simply by using the search, it saves so much time and bandwidth.

its not the SMAN solution... trust me..
had the same problem with my P900 and my P800...
i always close all the apps but still on both phones i got battery drain in 6 hours..
if i take out the memory stick, then the battery problem is solved... there is some bug somewhere that drains the battery...
i reformated the memory stick and put all the files back with file manager and the problem was still there...
had to master reset the phone, format the memory stick, reinstall all back to the phone and it was OK..
both phones work ok now.. but i installed only stuff i really use, so donno what program made that problems...

I counter this problem. Make sure ur internal space not less than 1mb. When i free up some space, it works..

hmm.. i never used tracker and had this problem...
maybe it is the 1 mega problem, couse i have internal memory almost all the time at 98%...
will try that and report (still have p800 in this problem, and using it without Memory Stick, so ill try to remove some stuff from memory and test if that fixes the problem)...

Hi All after a long decision making process and much reading of Esato (without which I shall NEVER make a choice on a phone ever again!) I had decided to take delivery of a P900 in June.
However I am somewhat alarmed at this post, does this mean that as soon as I sync my Outlook ( a large file) with the P900 I shall have very poor battery life? or has this problem been solved with the latest version of the software?
Please help!!!

Greetings, I also had a short life battery problem and by accident discovered how to extend the battery life. Turn your phone off... remove the battery for more than a couple of seconds... replace battery and turn back on... plug into charger and wait for cycle to finish. My phone then runs for many days with nominal use. When battery life shortens, I do it once again. it is working for me... 12 months now. If this works for you, please let me know. Tactac7
