> Thought the upgrade was free?

Just been speaking to Fleet Communications in New Eltham (london) and they insist that the cost of the upgrade from T68m to T68i software is £19.95 plus VAT, I'm sure it should be a free upgrade. Is this the case, are they trying to rip me off?

This service should be offered free of charge. The service centre gets payed by SonyEricsson for performing the upgrade. I suggest you ring SonyEricsson to complain about this service centre.

All the SPs here in Sweden that I've had contact with are doing this upgrade for free!

Thanks all, yeah thats what I thought. Phoned sony ericsson this afternoon and they also said it should be free, they're looking into it. I'm going to go elsewhere.

Every upgrade should be made FREE in LEGAL/Authorized Sony Ericsson service centre!
Have updated mine phone (T68m) twice - first to R2B013 and second to R2B025 (MMS software) and both times upgrades was free even without any guarantee papers etc. ... phone just should be "Ericsson" or "Sony Ericsson"!!

In Kristiansand, two Sp's do it for free while one charge 40 $. Guess which I chose......
