Please help me...

My phone slipped out of my pocket and fell and broke a glass of red wine. Although I picked it up and wiped it immediately, the wine got it!

I have taken it apart according to instructions on the site, but there are patches that are much brighter and in one area you can see a red mark!!

Is there anything I can do like replace the screen?

Please help - I was loving my SE!!

most likely your best bet would be to go and see your local SE service centre to get a price for replacing the screen.contact your local carphone warehouse to find the nearest service centre

@ drummoc - Jezzaj`s idea is great principally if your phone is under warranty! But if she /T610/ isn`t under warranty, and if you have some spare money than you can build in a T630`s display, than you can install an T630`s firmware... so you get a better display, with a GREAT DESIGNE!!!!

It's not actually too hard to replace the screen on a T610 - I've done it myself without any problems!

The hardest part is getting the casing off - especially that black bit that covers the aerial at the back of the phone! The LCD comes off via a ribbon that 'unplugs' from the phone's PCB, the trick is to make sure the new screen is plugged in properly! I've gotten replacement screens of Ebay for £25, which was surprisingly cheap, and the only other thing you need is a T6 screwdriver (£2 ish) and perhaps something to help lever the facia off (carefully!)

However, if you're unsure, take it to someone in the know or your nearest service centre, better safe than sorry!

Thanks all.

I have managed to get the phone apart but the screen is definitely knackered....

I now live in Australia, Sydney. Do you know where I can get them from here?

Sammy I may be coming back to you for further advice!!

Thanks,

Charlie

Yes its well worth doing, I changed mine to a T630 TFT and its really nice & 100% better. Don’t forget you have to flash it with T630 firmware or all your get is a white screen

@drummoc - no problem, will help where I can!

Just bought another T610 with a faulty screen, so will have perfect opportunity to do a refresher!

Well.... I've managed to improve my screen. I completely took it apart and carefully washed it with slightly soapy water and dried it and put it back together!!

There are still some small smudge marks on it but otherwise perfect!
I am amazed as I am not very technical, and there were several layers to the screen, but it worked.

Thanks everyone!!
