> Error when updating FW

Hi guys,
Had my P900 about a month now, was supplied by Vodafone to my dad, but he couldn't get used to it....so i took it and am using it on O2 SIM. The phone hasn't been unlocked or anything, worked fine with the O2 card out of the box.
I went on the update service and noted there is a FW update available for 16004/8
I followed all the instructions and got to the point where u turn phone off and put it in cradle.
The software then turns the phone on, it gets to the point where the options arre "turn on, flight mode, help" . Then the software comes up with an error "error communicating with phone. The phone is either not on or batteries not charged"
The battery is at full power, and it was def. off when put in cradle.
This is really annoying, what is going wrong???
Cheers,
Ben

Try reinstalling everything. And i mean everthing! Go to the Device manager and remove the syncstation com-port (Com3 or what it might be) and remove the PCsuite software. Remember to reboot with the syncstation unplugged from your USB. When Windows is booted and ready then install everything and try again.
I had a similar problem and this worked for me (as well as removing my bluetooth adapter and software but I don't think you need to do this if you have one. I just did it to be on the safe side)
Cheers and good luck!

Turn off the prompt that asks what mode you want the phone to be in during power on.
Control Panel > Flight Mode > Untick the box for "Prompt me with the phone on or flight mode choice..."
