I am trying to set up my pc suite so I can transfer pictures and ringtones back and fourth from my phone and pc but can't seem to get the pc suite to work. I downloaded the pc suite from the sony ericsson website. Do I need any other software for this to work? When I bought the phone the 2 cds that came with it where in chinese so I can't use them. Is there anything I need on those discs or just downloading the pc suite from the sony site be alright. When I download the pc suite I followed the instructions and I get both icons to come up.( the small p900 icon and the phone connection link) My computer will not reconize my phone even though both icons are present. When I double click on my p900 icon it says not connected even though the phone connection link says usb is connected. Any help would be great!

As above, lots of info on here but do you have a Firewall installed? If so just disable it for a couple of minutes to see if you get a connection then you will know if it is the cause (was with my set-up).

It is a bug of PC Suite... I don't know why this hapens but it happened to me after updating Windows XP on-line and since then I've never been able to transfer files any more.
So far SonyEricsson doesn't seem to take care of this bug... but be sure you are not the only one... read P900's forums and you'll discover there are hundreds of users like me and you waiting for SE to do something.
In the meanwhile I have solved the problem using "PC File Manager" from Epocware. You can use that program as well as sync your contacts or install new applications... the problem is realted only to Windows's Explorer and PC Suite... it keeps saying "Not Connected" but the divice is connected and perfectly working !

what should i do?
and also i think that the problem might be related with the operating system of the pc...
what do you think???

I had a problem like this when I first got my p900. I finally solved the problem by downloading new firmware for my phone. Even though my firmware was the one that was most up to date I tried it anyway and it seemed to fix it. I thought that I would not be able to do it because it was not syncing, but it did it fine.
