I'm new with T-Mobile and every time I receive a voicemail, I also receive a text message telling me that I have a voicemail. This is really annoying. Is there anyway to turn off this feature so that I don't get a text message whenever I receive a voicemail? I just want my phone to alert me, not alert me AND receive a text message.

no, u can't set the phone keep alert u about new SMS or any other messages. but u can set reminder every 20 or 30 minute remind u to check on sms.

there is only 1 way u can skip the text msg for ya voicemail. u have a built-in answering machine in ya phone.

This is a service provider setting and not a phone setting (but maybe you already figured that out). I think you could just call customer service and have the turn off sms notification. On vodafone you can log in to their web site and do it yourself, but I have no idea if T-mobile offers the same.

here in Phil, there is a charge when retrieving a voicemsg. Its expensive when you call your voice mail everytime.

So the sms function as an alert so you only need to check your voicemail/voicemsg if you have a new msg.

on o2 you can choose wether to recieve an sms notification, or if you want the voicemail to ring you.

Would have thought t-mobile would have had a similer function?
