When I connect my Jabra to my PC through a BT dongle, the sound played is OK (I did not say fine). But the sound recorded from the headset mike is only noise.
The same Jabra connected to my z600 sounds good.
Any idea?
Thanks in advance.

Same thing happens with my BT200. It actually happens with the phone as well, only very rarely.

It seems to be a problem getting the two devices to talk well together. When the problem occurs when I'm on the phone, it clears up after a second or so.

For the PC, the only way passed it is to disconnect and re-connect, until you get a good connection. Sometimes I need to try 4-5 times, other times it just goes through first time out.

I have no factualy explanation for this, just this empeirical solution...

It seems to me that the BT thingy is, to remain gentle, flaky.
The other thing that I cannot make work is voice answering.
No problem with voice dialing, but I have to push the headset button to answer an incoming call, voice answering does not work, no matter if the voice sample is recorded through the phone or the headset.
Well... it is not such a big problem anyway.

You sure you paired the headset to the phone in its "advanced" mode? (ie with the volume+ key pressed along with the power when swithing it on and into pairing mode)

AFAIK when you do that, and when you set up the phone's "car handsfree" option to "advanced" rather than "power save", the maintains a constant connection to the handsfree. That way, when a call comes in, the headset responds immediately.

Tho I've never tried it, I belieeeve you need to do that for voice answer to work as well.

But beware that the headset battery goes down fast when in that mode.

Plus, all this comes from experience with a T610, but it should pretty much be the same with the Z600.

OK, i'll try it again although I already did that.

[The "Yes I did a bit of searching before posting" mode]
On the other hand someone on this forum reported about a guy at SE telling him that the Jabra had problems with SE phones if paired in advanced mode. Suggestion was to always pair in normal mode with SE phones.

Anyway, for all other functions, you have to press the button on the headset. So it is not such a big deal to press the button too for answering.

I do believe that post was a reply to the original BT200 review I posted here a while back

However, the manual of my recently replaced BT200 (first one semi-died) specifically mentions the T610 in its list of phones to use the advanced mode with, so I assume they addressed the issue.

Usually when everything else is working but not voice answer the solution is to go to Settings- Voice control- Voice answer- Environments- and then tick Bluetooth.
Advanced pairing is not supported by z600.
