I downloaded PhilipsCamcorder trial version from My-Symbian.com To try and see if I want to buy him but I cannot install the trial version:-( It allways comes an error msg and stands that I need to have some software innstalled (dont remember the name) Where can I get that software? Or am I not able to install the trial version. I want to see if I like the software to see If I want to download!!!! Help please!!! Is there anyone having same problem? Does it by any chance say something about ECam compatibility? If so it's because u've got a really old firmware like R1D at a guess. Which f/w do u have BTW.

The 2 solutions to that are:

1- get a f/w upgrade (highly recommended, u'll be amazed at the difference!)

2- try to find the 'Hacked Camcorder' which will work on old f/w but doesn't support sound.

Yes, it's the firmware. You have to have the latest firmware.

what is the latest firmware - what should I be aiming for
I had my p800 updated a while back (last year), but haven't kept track of any further updates.
