Hi all...
Took delivery of my P900 from Orange last Thursday and took the plunge to check/update the firmware on the Friday evening.

The phone shipped with the following firmware:

ORGANISER: CXC162021 R4B03
CDA: CDA162004/3 R5A01

At the time I thought it was a little strange that the firmware number flagged up by SE's update service was a lower number but figured that the update service knew what it was doing and wouldn't retrograde my phone so I went ahead and flashed...

bad move!!!

The phone after the the 'supposed' update ended up with firmware revisions:

ORGANISER: CXC162021 R3A06
CDA: CDA162004/3 R4B01

Orange and SE support seem to be totally clueless on sorting this out (I'm sure they think I'm lying about it having ver: R5A01) and the dealer that SE referred me to tried to restore the firmware without success (I suspect that they just tried reflashing it though as they said all the Orange branding would remain in place).

Anyway... I realise I shouldn't have flashed it and all that (hindsights a great thing eh? ) - but if anyone has been in a similar position and can suggest the quickest and easiest way to get my phone back to the way it was I'd be greatful.

I've read on the forums about some SE service centres offreing a complete re-flashing of the firmware resulting in the p900 being a plain 'vanilla' Sony Ericsson without any provider branding - exactly what do you ask for? (the SE centre I went to didn't have a clue) and can anyone suggest somewhere in the Birmingham area that I can get it done...

thanks in advance...
