I went the SE P900 Update site

Then I go through the process until I hit
Please wait...
"Checking the installation of Sony Ericsson Update Service "
Then nothing happen from that point on.
I have calbe connection at home.

That is what I did yesterday manual verification, then the download happened, then the update, then please wait less than a minute and then nothing happened from there on. After that my fon was stuck in the SE screen and is now on its way to the service center. Forget updates. It ain't working. At least did not for me.

I called SE and they said to wait till Wednesday. there are some glitches being worked out with the online update service. so let's wait, as they say....

I had the same problem with the site running XP SP2RC1, I uninstalled SP2RC1 and the site started working again...

that doesn't give us much confidence is SP2 does it?, and certainly something to think about before jumping to upgrade to SP2 when it comes out soon

I also get the same error when I use any browser except IE - such as Firefox.
