Is it alright if I recharge my battery on the T68 anytime? or is it bad? Is there a memory effect on the battery in which you have to drain the battery first and then recharge for maximum battery life?

It is a no-memory battery so go ahead and recharge when ever you want. Read a post somwhere else that it is healthy to do a full dis/re-charge every 20 times or so to extend lifespan... don't know if it's true.

It is true. It helps if you let the battery discharge completely every now an then (e.g. every 10-15 times).
