how do you stop the initial bleep when you open the flip ?

also how do you stop the bleep when you touch the first key on the keypad ? its irritating it bleeping when you walk down the road with it in your pocket ! dont say get a case, I'm going to when I can get one I like.

I have had my p900 for about months and never have I heard a bleep when doing the things you describe. Are you sure that it is not a 3rd party app that is causing it?

agreed, I have never heard a bleep for these. I did hear a click when pressing key and touching the screen when I first got the phone but I soon turned those off in control panel, sounds and alerts, other

it happens once the keypad is locked when you have to put in your pin number to unlock it.

aha! never used that lock but now I see what you mean. the flip open is a single beep and the pressing of ok is a 2 tone beep (high then low)

looks like the only solution is to have your phone on silent but then you may miss calls

I believe he means the short "blip" when prompted to enter the pin code, rather than the dtmf tone of the keypad.

yes,

thats it ! a pain in the arse as you cannot lock the phone and then have it keep quiet !

silent doesn't help as I would indeed miss calls and if I switch it off the phone isn't locked ! unless anyone knows of any package that will lock the phone in software and not the p900 firmware.
