on behalf of a customer how the hell do i store contacts in the external mem,as ive got over 1000 contacts,and when sync is taking place it only syncs 600 of them, also how can i exchange excel and word files to and from the phone,help would be great asap sorry as i thing i got your name wrong.

oh dear, I hope someone else can help with this one as I have no idea. I know how to copy the contacts.cdb to the memory stick but I have no idea of how to access it from there or indeed if that is possible

for excel and word files you need Quick Office though I haven't used it myself as I use my iPAQ for that

cheers iam also on the phone to se at the mo they say it can be done but how is another thing,they say you drag and drop when ya synced but how do you get to it once its in ya duo.thanks alot for your help guys,good to see everybody helping eachother.

One question. Your customers 1000 contacts, is it actually 1000 seperate people or is it 1000 entries, some of them being for example "john home", "john mobile", etc.

If its the former then I think he is screwed, but if it is 1000 seperate entries, then he can try re-arranging his contacts a bit more efficiently, with of one persons contact details under the one contact. Then his 1000 contacts might miraculously go down to about 500 or so?

Edit: Not sure if I was very clear.

An example:

John Home 0123456789 John Mobile 0123456789 John Work 0123456789
Instead of what is above, he should rearrange to this:

John Home 0123456789
Work 0123456789
Mobile 0123456789
