What phone are you using? I have a P800, and the screen is divided into two parts for handwriting input - the divider between the two is the little black triangle in the middle on the right of the screen. If you write below this triangle, you get letter. Above it, numbers. If you write letters level with the triangle, you get capital letters. Failing that, press the little keyboard icon in the bottom right of the screen for a mini-qwerty keyboard to tap on!
I'm not sure if the P900 has a similar/same system, as I haven't seen one in the flesh yet!
If anyone would like to donate me a P900 I'd be most grateful.....

Yes, there's an arrow on the right of the screen, if you write above that centerline you write numbers, level with it is upper case and below it is lower case

I know that!!!! I'm not THAT stupid!
But writing how it's explained, won't do it.
Can anyone write the 'ç' character (c with cedilla) ?

i have the same problem, i am using the turkish version of the p900 but i can't write ç,ö and ü (some different characters in turkish alphabet. there are 3 more but i cant type those here) in handwrite recognition mode. I asked if i could write those char. to a se shop and learned that these char can be typed by only using the v.keyboard

In order to write characters like the ç (c with cedilla) you will need to do the following.
First draw a vertical line starting from the bottom of the screen going up to the top. This line will remain on the screen and the phone will accept multiple pen strokes before accepting the character.
The draw a "c" and then do a "j" starting in the center of the "c" character. Et voila - a c (with cedilla).
To write a ö you will need to do the following.
Draw the vertical line again.
Then draw a capital d "D" and put a horizontal line starting in the center of the "D" and going from right to left.
Hope this helps
