since mms was free in dubai for almost 6 months, i used the camera and a lot of sound recording function. believe it or not, the data send on my mobile showed 9mb and recieved 7 mb. since then the sound recoreder started repeating the words recorded. for e.g. i am recording"how r u", it will then play it as how r r r r r r r u u u u u u u " y is this? and after i gave it to the service centre they found that i dropped it and it has screwed up the function. i then asked them to change the sw to a new one. it is now r4c003. ever since i got the new sw, it has become so slow. a theme takes more that a minute to set up. it changes the theme as usual, but then the phone freezes for a minute. this happens everytime. even the camera photos take time to store, especially the 2nd picture i click. what i feel has happened is that the flash memory is screwed up since i used it a lot, i mean 9 mb +7mb is a whole lot for a phone of 2mb in size. all these things happen when the memory shows 500 or less. after resetting all functions works properly. the memory between 0-500kb is screwed up. just like a rw cd. what do u think. hope u understood what i said.

The gprs meter shows ingoing and outgoing traffic. My gprs meter shows 200 megabyte and still phone works great. The flash has no problem. I have downloaded and then deleted hundreds of games, ringtones and wallpapers. Maybe the phones circuts are faulty. My opinion is to buy a new phone he the service cant fix the phone.

thanks for that advice, but is it ok to go on downloading more games and ringtones? will my phone stop working coz of the circuit? i would not wanna give up my phone coz i think my ringtones sound louder than all the new t610s in the market. i compared it with 7 other t610 and mine is the loudest. so maybe buying a new phone will not be an alternative. even if i had to buy then the k700 will be the next purchase.

You may keep your phone and reset it every time it slows down. And no, your t610 doesnt sound louder than mine, thanks to the new 2 Ohm speaker and the insulation behind the speaker i installed

That really is not much data. I do about a gig every month wirelessly trough my t610 and foot have problems. If you dont leave any storage space and keep the phone full them it will slow down. If you want a fast phone then dont fill the memory up.

hi there, thanks for the posts. i actually asked for a detailed report to the sony ericsson dealer and this is what i got:"drop damaged, resistor component dislodged and missing near the system connector contacts, chasis and battery cover damaged due to drop." this they say can be fixed but at my risk. they can fix it for a cost but since there are many parts near it, they cannot guarntee that it will work afterwards. but the best part of all this and whatmakes me suspecious is that how come it works when i have lot of free memory? if the stuff is broken and missing, then it shouldnt work at any time. how comeis my question?

hello people, i think i just found out the problem with my mobile, the flash memory has been screwed up i.e. between 0-500kb. i just did a master reset and all functions work properly and ne delays. i have made sure that the the memory is always free or it is above 500 kb. the se dealers failed to give me an explanation about this.
the image below is only testing

Hey Mervey dude..,
I think it was the flash mem problem like you suggested..good thing you did a master reset but now I will recommend you take it back to the center and upload with the new Firmware, The themes and all were slow as your Flash memory was screwed..! Doing a Master Reset 7/10 times screws some or the other coding for good functioning..so to avoid problems ahead get it updated again..
BTW you asked that if some or the other part was screwed so why was your phone still working..Well the only possible explanations are that at times when you drop a phone the circuits get shaken but in few cases the transistors develop loose connections due to impact and then in few cases this only breaks the body but the transistors remain good..So its pretty unpredictable..!
When I had a Nokia 3530, I was strolling in Indian Monsoon's when the water made its way to the insides of my phone and shut it down..But then when I dried it was up and again..The water should have created short's in the phone but din't happen..So u get the picture..
