Hi

I've recently sold my P800 to a friend, but when they put their SIM in, it comes up with "enter device lock code". I originally bought the phone on eBay, and the person who I bought it from gave me a code which worked. I turned off the device lock feature (or so I thought I had). So anyway, now when a different sim card again is put in it is once more comming up "enter device lock code". Has tried the code I was given previously, the default (0000) as well as other codes (that I had for my sim in my Nokia phone). None of these have worked. THe phone was originally sold as being "sim-less" and not bound to a network. Are there any other default codes, or anyway to remove the lock function completely?

is your M8's sim on a different network?
try your old sim in again and see does it still happen.

Try an "unlocking shop", there are loads around

I'm sure you can reset the code, cos I was counting on it protecting my phone if it got nicked and then I saw somewhere was offering code resets as a service
