Wow! I didn't know I could buy a phone & have my provider activate it! Is this true with most carriers?? I have Cingular. And where does one get a p900 from in the US??
I'm new to this. Thanks in advance...

Well first off, the S700 won't be available until around the end of 2004 (or even early 2005). Second, you need to be in an area where they use the 1900mhz band. If you're on the east coast, then you're just plain out of luck. But if you're on the west coast (preferably in California) then you should be okay to use the phone.

ummm no...
IF the fone has tri-band coverage (900/1800/1900) then it will work with any network that uses one of these bands (i.e. t-mobile which uses 900). However, it will not work on cingular/AT&T because they use the 850 band.
Please, do research before you start posting.

I'll agree with you to the point that the S700 phone is a triband phone and it'll work in areas where those bands are used, but 900/1800 are used in Europe and Asia and 1900 is used in America. T-Mo uses 1900. Since it shows that she is from USA, then she can only take advantage of the 1900 band.

True that... On the west most of the GSM coverage at this time is in the 1900mhz band (Cingular / T-Mo)... Soon, Cali-Nev and Was will have 850mhz too! Lots of it.. But it should be ok to use in the west and it will be selling in the states thru the SE website.
