Haven't seen or used ot myself, but hasn't the update service got a recovery service as well that can be used on dead/faulty phones etc?
Can someone confirm this?

With your cradle or on SE. It will be ok after because when updating the old os is deleted and a new one is then installed. Any modification to system files from tracker goes away. Master reset changes settings to factory default and/or deletes added files. System files changes are not reverted. This message was posted from a T610

Apparently those guys who have their Px00 just as a "show-off-gadget" stand really defenseless to all that crappy software that promises them to make their gadget even more "shiny"...

I don't think so matey, whats wrong with wanting a more interesting GUI than the standard ones, themes etc exist so people can personalise their phones, I havn't got time to show people my shiny gadget, the other problem lies with poor user manuals, operating guides etc.

You could say the same about updates, if you can make and take a call etc why bother updating, maybe because people want to ....

Basically I'm saying to be careful and use the device for its real purpose preferably. Because this is not a perfect world :-)
