Hi, i have a little annoying "problem" with my new bought p900. Its locked to my phone provider (Telia), and as they locked it .. they put a very ugly startup/shutdown animation with a sound. And i cant change it.

I have found the files in A:\Sysdata .. the files are:
Popcorn.wav
Shutdown.mp4
Startup.mp4

Anyone have any ideas how to replace them into sonyericsson default ones ? Or is this total impossible?

When im on the way .. i can ask another thing to .. what is a:\ and z:\ ? Is it where the updates (software update) will be placed?
If so, there must be some way to replace that telia shit.

Kind regards

i've read a few places that say the startup and shutdown animations on P900 can't be changed, only on P800. chance i could be wrong though, just think i remember that.

Nope it can't be done. Only the p800 supports different startups and shutdowns.

The only way I can think of doing it is if you had the ability to write to the rom drive, doing a sort of custom flash, but that could be risky.

The reason the p800 works is because the same files were on the z: drive, so on boot up the order would be a: c: d: z: but on the p900 they are on the a: drive so it always gets booted first.

Oh well. Thats the main reason I closed my site down, you might remember it: MP4 Conversion Guide. I had loads of startups and shutdowns on there but I got a p900 last year and never looked back. I have still got my p800 on the box like new on my bedroom floor collecting dust.

Later, got work to do hehe
