From some other threads i've gathered that some people can do this and some( like myself) cannot. People have said that they can use the fly on screen animation as a wallpaper and not just as a screensaver. I have tried and tried and all my P900 does is freeze on the first frame. I'm wondering if it's a firmware thing. I have CDA R5A07 and organizer R5B02. So how many of you can do this and how many are stuck like me?

You can surely use an image with a .gif extention as a wallpaper, but only the first frame will appear if it's an animation, simply because the P900 cannot play animated GIFs as wallpapers.

In flip closed .gif images ARE Animated but not in flip open unfortunately. I've tried this out with many many gifs... most work perfectly, others not quite so well

if you change the size of the gif, it wont animate
