T610, 7 months old, refused to recharge since yesterday. Tried 2 chargers and also with my carkit it refuses to charge.

So it ran outta juice this afternoon and now I'm pissed, since this was my backup phone after my P900 dropped and is in repair for a cracked screen

I did notice using a datacable and putting the charger cable also on the datacable, the red led of the joystick will illuminate continuously, asa I remove the power cable the red led also stop. So it's clear there is power going to the phone, but it just won't turn on and nothing shows up/or heard like it normally did when you connect the charger.

So my only clue is that the battery dead and "sucks up" all incoming power, not releasing the power to the phone itself.

Any other ideas/suggestions? Thanks!

@dirkies - Try installing 'another' battery, and see if the thing charges. My apologies if this idea has already been tried. Good luck!

do you always charge while the phone is off? If so your battery will most likely not have survived.... but lkike jojo said, a new battery should solve this

yep, the phone was charged most of the time OFF because it's sitting in my BMW (using bluetooth connection) as a backup phone.

I don't know anyone with a T610 so back to the service center!

Since it's still under guarantee I guess it will be a simply exchange operation

in the future: try charging while the phone is ON...... as it will acftually stop when the battery is fully recharged

@dirkies - Good thing that it is still under warranty (fone), now you just have to replace it with a new one, start with only the battery - first. At one point @vlammetje is right when she said that your fone must be 'ON' to see the stats clearly when the batt is fully charged. But, I do it as a common practice to charge mine while the unit is 'OFF'.

Sounds most probably the battery - I had a T610 which did exactly the same as yours - red LED came on, but no charge to the battery - and as soon as I put a new battery in it fired up. If you can get hold of another battery from a mate or somewhere, try it. If not, try buying one, I'd be about 75% sure it's a battery fault.
