> T610 China/Malaysia - Big Difference In Sound

Hi all!
I've been reading through these forums along with many others for nearly 2 weeks now trying to find out if there was some problem with my new phone before I sent it back.
I used to have a T610 made in Malaysia...quite happy with it, but unfortunately got burgled and lost it. The insurance company replaced it for me with a new phone, yet as soon as I opened it I noticed how quiet it was compared to my old phone even though the firmware was newer. Very tiny, no bass and I found myself not even noticing when it was ringing.
I brought my friend round with her T610 which was also made in Malaysia. We played the same ringtone alongside each other and the difference was massive. We both had the same firmware, the only difference being that my phone was made in China.
Off to my nearest carphone warehouse where they had a T610 made in China. The sound in this set was exactly the same as mine.
I actually sent my phone back after speaking to Sony Ericsson as they assured me that all the parts are the same in all the T610s no matter where they are made, and that there is no scimping on price to put a cheaper speaker in the phones made in China, yet as I continue bumping into people with T610s, the results are the same.
Sorry for barbling on about this, but I'm preparing for the arrival of my new T610 and I already know that I'm probably not going to be happy with it if it has been made in China.
Anyone else noticed this? Or anyone know where I can get the phones that have been made in Malaysia?
