> p800 error

yesterday everything just went messy, was installing software, it froze so i took out battery (power button didnt work). put battery in and it said it needed to remformat, so i did, lost ll software tht was on the phone, now after getting everything working again, the camera isnt working, it doesnt show the view finder, you just see the picture you have taken after youve pressed ok / camera.
any help?

I'm sometimes having similar problems - nothing in the viewfinder/screen, but if you press the 'take picture' button, it takes it.
I think in my case the P800 needs it's firmware updating, perhaps this would solve your problem?
In the short term, I've found that turning the phone off then back on again usually makes the camera behave as it should, on the rare occasions it does this to me
