Randomly I'll go to listen to some music on my p900 but theres nothing to be found but the memory stick is in the slot. Also whenevr I back up the phone and memory stick, everything on the memory stick is gone and the stick isnt even seen by the phone. I dont understand. Its really weird. Basically for a whole day I'll be albe to use the memory stick then the next day, it wont even be seen by the phone like its not even there. Its really makin me mad because everyday I put everything back on it by formatting the memory stick then transfering everything back and then a hour later its gone. I searched the forum for an answer but i didnt find anything. Please let me know how to fix this.

I thought it was just me and blamed the USB reader on my PC!

Assuming you are using the USB reader on the PC and are still unable to see the stick, then I would probably suggest either borrowing a friends stick to see if that works, or a trip to a SE service centre where they will no doubt have a stick to try in the handset. I've never had the prob myself, it's just that with 2 different devices not seeing the stick, then that really does sound like the problem.

I think it's the 32Mb sticks, as i also have a 128 stick and have no trouble with it. Also formated the 32Mb stick in my CyberShot and again after a few days 'Not a recognisable format'

That's happened to me too. Once time (seemingly for no reason) my phone just didn't recognise the stick and I had to reformat it. There have bee two occasions when the USB reader couldn't see the stick. I just switched things on and off and rebooted stuff, and it started to work again.

I've since defected to an Xda2...
