> Sending SMS with my P900
Bookmark topic
Hello guys,
I have this problem: whenever I try to send a long SMS, my P900 split it to two or three SMS messages. Knowing that I can send the same SMS with NOKIA 7200 and it wont be splitted, it will be sent as one single SMS.
Anyone has any idea on how to solve this problem?
Thanks in advance

I dont think you can send it as one SMS on any phone, its not set by the phone, its the maximum length a SMS can be, on any network. It could be that the 7200 simply doesnt SAY its splitting the message, you will still be charged for 3xSMS

sheep demon: I don't care if I'm gonna be charged for 3 SMS, What I care about is that the reciever will get as a one single SMS.
Jezzaj: I don't see any tick box.

The maximum length for a single SMS is 160 characters (inc spaces and punctuation).
Many phones will split this accross a few SMS messages and not tell you that and you'll get billed for however many messages is necessary to send the all the characters you have input.
Whether it comes out as 1 message at the other end depends totally on the phone that is receiving the message, if it is capable of turning it into one message then it will, otherwise they'll get X number of disjointed messages.
