Hi,
About a week ago, I tried to access the phone book application and it basically closed with an error saying "not enough memory" which quickly dissapeared again!?

Now I can't access my phonebook (the application simply will not work) - as a result I know nobodies number, thier numbers come up when they phone but I can't tell WHo it is without thier names coming up in the USUAL manner. ALSO I Cannot send SMS either?! When i press SEND on the create sms application, it comes up with the same message "Not Enough Memory"

Very concerned....Is my P800 useless now or is it a software fault which is rectifyable.

I have 3MB free on my phone memory though out of the 12mb standard. And I have 8MB free on my 128mb memory stick duo!

Somebody please help me!

I think this happens when the phone run out of memory (RAM) not physical memeory so try switching off the phone and then restart it and see whether you can access the phone book. If it works then download SMAN and always close unwanted applications running in the background. Let us know what happened

I've always had tracker and regularly close unused applications/processes.

I have tried turning it on and off numerous times but the problem persists?!

Thanks anyhow, any more suggestions guys?

Try transfering the contacts on to the phone if its still on the SIM.

why not try a backup and restore?

Do you have System Man? Check to make sure that there are NO background processes.

Also try turning on the phone WITHOUT the memory card inserted.

I suggest moving as much as you can to the mem card after you get it up and running.

Leave at least 7 mb free all the time (in my opinion)
