Bookmark topic
Hello
I wanted to know if using P900 battery ( BST-15 ; 1260mAH ) in my P800 phone will do any damage to my phone .For example over heat the parts for my phone. I am using P900 battery on my phone.
Cheers

welcome to Esato
previous threads on this topic suggest it should be ok and I'd have to agree

no reason why not their the same piece of kit just one has a longer life due to higher capacity. Voltage is the same as all other SE phones hence they all use the same charger.

does anyone know where to get them, tho, other than in a P900? Whenever I see BST-15 or "P800/P900" batteries for sale, they're always either suitably vague about the ampage, or explicitly 1000 mAh (ie, P800 type). Why didn't SE just give the new battery a different model number, so we could all be sure of what we're buying? Of course, if they had, we might not be so sure that it would work in the P8...

The thing is, I'd like to buy a spare for my P8, and it makes sense to buy the new and improved version of the BST-15, but apparently I can't. I'm either guaranteed not to get the new version (by the shops which actually quote mAh), or I have to take a gamble on which version of the BST-15 some shop feels like giving me.
If SE had been straightforward and honest about things, they could have just released this as the BST-16 and said yes, this is a new battery compatible with either Px00 series phone, giving x hours more standby etc... I could then safely order a BST-16 and know exactly what I was getting. But instead, here we are months after the P900's release still asking each other whether this new BST-15 is compatible with the old BST-15, and still seemingly unable to purchase one anyway.

But in fairness, when we're talking about batteries, it's "just" that little extra part that anyone's interested in!

How come and they dont have it? Which country you are refering to?
SE Greece have the 1260mAh battery. I havent bought one though since I have three batteries now. Two 1000 mAh and one 1260 mAh.
