A guy that works in the SonyCenter (a shop in Iceland) told me that Sony Ericsson are doing new firmware update that allows you to use Sony memory stick duo on p800/900. It isnt any hardware problem just a ting that they need to fix in the firmware......
There have some guys tested to make software to doing this but it is a firmware problem so I think that there cant any do this than SE...

I havent got any time when it will be available but it will sometime be...

But the guy in sonyCenter think that this update will not be available until after the s700 comes out....

I hope it will be not later than next xMAS... I cant wait....

Has anyone more info??? Or am I telling some brand new news???

So the P800 has been out all this time, so has the P900.. and they've only just got around to creating new firmware to support Pro sticks ?

Nah, cant see it. Also, i think it might be a hardware thing.

sounds pretty unlikely. i too think it's a hardware thing, to do with the way the memory is addressed, and the amount of processing larger cards would require. it may be that they'll simply have to make future models faster (ie, with quicker processors) to deal with higher memory sizes. that's my semi-informed hunch, mind, feel free to tell me different..

Um, I don't quite get it why you're so sarcastic. Surely, I believe this is a rumour just as much as the rest of you, but what's with digs at the original poster? I too would like to have MS Pro support, and for the casual and uninformed user, this could very well be a software-based problem.

(I'll still keep my fingers crossed, wishing that it is.
